Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy discloses the privacy practices for The JoJo Entertainment Co. Ltd (hereafter defined as “JoJoFun”). This privacy policy applies to all information you share with JoJoFun, by any communication methods, including but not limited to information submitted via the website https://www.jojofun.co.uk, by telephone, and by e-mail.

Terms used in this Privacy Policy are either defined herein or in the terms document found at the website https://www.jojofun.co.uk/terms

The term “individual” is defined as any person or group of people who is not classed as a Limited Company, Limited Liability Partnership, a PLC, a Community Interest Company or Charity.

At JoJoFun, we deal with a wide variety of data shared with us by individuals in order to fulfill their party entertainment requests. Our head office is based in London, UK, and all third-party services we use adhere to the GDPR, such as (but not limited to) entertainment providers, payment gateways, and email services. We do not use services that do not comply with the GDPR.

This Privacy Policy has been written with particular reference to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As such, what follows is a breakdown of how we address the eight important right of individuals as determined by the GDPR:

1. Your right to be informed
2. The right of access
3. The right to rectification
4. The right to erasure
5. The right to restrict processing
6. The right to data portability
7. The right to object
8. Rights in relation to automated decision making and profiling

1. Your right to be informed

Under the GDPR, you have the right to know how we use your data, why and how you may withdraw consent for us to use it, and to know exactly who we are.

We comply with this policy at JoJoFun. Our address is Unit 12 C, Tower Workshops, 58 Riley Road, London, SE1 3DG, United Kingdom. Jolene Emery is the director of JoJoFun and is responsible for managing the data held by the company.

We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship an order, or contract an entertainment provider.

As a business that provides services to clients who may be individuals or businesses, there are three primary reasons we hold information about clients:

  • In order to conduct a business relationship with you. We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us.
  • In order to transact our business. The information is stored so we are able to process your order and fulfill providing the service you have requested.
  • Further correspondence. Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you in the future by using the information you have shared with us, in order to tell you about promotions, new products or services, updates on our website or blog, request feedback for services, offer our services to you, or changes to this privacy policy. Therefore, we will keep your information on file after your event date for these purposes. We gather consent for further correspondence via our online forms for checking availability, requesting an estimate, and booking, or by phone.

We retain this information for as long as any of those three reasons are applicable. If you withdraw consent for us to hold your information, or a period of six years has passed since our last order request from you, then we delete your personal information from our system and third party systems such as the provider of our digital order forms.

You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time by emailing jojo@jojofun.co.uk or any of the points of contact given on our website at https://www.jojofun.co.uk/contact

We will withdraw your consent within one month of receiving your request.

2. The right of access

You may request the data we store about you at any time to check it is accurate and being used lawfully. You can do this by emailing jojo@jojofun.co.uk or any of the points of contact given on our website at https://www.jojofun.co.uk/contact

Your information will be compiled into a digital format such as email and PDF and sent to the email address that we have on file to contact you at. If you wish to receive the information by alternative means (e.g. at a different address or in a different digital format), you may request this. For your security, we may perform security questions to confirm your identity before releasing the information by such alternative means.

We will send your information within one month, unless the request is complex or we are otherwise engaged, in which case we will contact you with an estimated time to deliver your information to you.

3. The right to rectification

If we are holding incorrect information about you, please let us know by emailing jojo@jojofun.co.uk or using any of the points of contact given on our website at https://www.jojofun.co.uk/contact

We will update the information we have stored and, if necessary to fulfill your order, update the information held by the third parties we use.

This rectification will be completed within one month, unless the request is complex or we are otherwise engaged, in which case we will contact you with an estimated time of completion.

4. The right to erasure

Under the GDPR you have the right for the data we hold about you to be deleted. This is known as “the right to be forgotten”. You may request this if you:

  • Believe we no longer need the information that was lawfully collected
  • Wish to withdraw consent (or never gave it) for further correspondence (such as promotional emails)
  • You feel your data was unlawfully collected

In order to fully comply with your right to be forgotten, we will no longer be able to provide you with our services. If we are in the process of providing services to you, we suggest waiting until after this is finished before enacting your right to be forgotten.

You can request your data to be erased by emailing jojo@jojofun.co.uk or contacting us at any of the points of contact on our website at https://www.jojofun.co.uk/contact

We will fulfill your request within one month, unless the request is complex or we are otherwise engaged, in which case we will contact you with an estimated time for your data to be erased.

5. The right to restrict processing

Under certain circumstances you have the right to restrict the data being processed. You may request this if you think the data we hold is inaccurate, or object to its being processed, or you would like us to retain your information beyond the time we would normally remove it, in order to establish or defend a legal claim.

You can make this request by emailing jojo@jojofun.co.uk or contacting us at any of the points of contact on our website at https://www.jojofun.co.uk/contact

We will consider and take appropriate action in response to your request within one month, unless the request is complex or we are otherwise engaged, in which case we will contact you with an estimated time for your request to be responded to.

6. The right to data portability

If you require the data we hold about you in a digital format such as a text file or spreadsheet for any reason, we will provide this to you free of charge.

You can make this request by emailing jojo@jojofun.co.uk or contacting us at any of the points of contact on our website at https://www.jojofun.co.uk/contact

We will respond to your request within one month, unless the request is complex or we are otherwise engaged, in which case we will contact you with an estimated time for your request to be responded to.

7. The right to object

You have the right under certain circumstances to object to the data that is held about you. If you object to the way we handle your data, for any reason, then inform us of your objection by email jojo@jojofun.co.uk or contact us at any of the points of contact on our website at https://www.jojofun.co.uk/contact

If we agree with your objection, and/or while it is being considered, the data in question will not be used in the way detailed in your objection. In this case, the processing of this data will be restricted.

We will respond to your initial objection within one month, unless the request is complex or we are otherwise engaged, in which case we will contact you with an estimated time for your objection to be responded to.

You may also make any objections at the time of submitting the information to us, such as requesting not to receive promotional emails in the future.

8. Rights in relation to automated decision making and profiling

Your data may be handled via automated decisions. For example, some marketing materials are sent automatically at the time you book.

We do not make any decisions on what the GDPR suggests are special categories of personal information, nor make any decisions based on ethnicity, race, sex, gender or disability.

If you object to the automated processing of your data, for any reason, then inform us of your objection by email jojo@jojofun.co.uk or contact us at any of the points of contact on our website at https://www.jojofun.co.uk/contact

We will respond to your objection within one month, unless the request is complex or we are otherwise engaged, in which case we will contact you with an estimated time for your objection to be responded to.
