Considerations

Birthday Presents
Get a big cardboard box, as the children arrive, put the presents that they bring safely into the box so they may be opened AFTER THE PARTY. This way you will know who brought what, so that thank you letters can be sent. This also ensures that there no distractions for any entertainment you have hired.

Party Bags
Leave the Party Bags until last.  They are great party gifts to give away as the children are heading home.  You can even incorporate them into a last party game by having them look for their loot bags around the party premises.  If given early during the party, they will often act as a distraction.

Invitations
(We are happy to provide you with our own personalized Invitations for you party celebrations)
Send out invitations early to give plenty of time to get your reply.  Give your child a chance to be involved by getting him/her to select the invitation.  This gets the excitement going. Whichever way you do it make sure the invitations contain the following: Send out invites 3 weeks in advance and include directions
· Child's name and age
· Where the party will be held
· The date, and exact timing
· Details of Fancy Dress, etc
· How to reply (your phone number, etc.)

Number of Guests
I've entertained many birthday parties and the most successful parties tend to include 8-15 kids.  If you are inviting the whole class or a larger group, enlist the help of a couple of teens or adults to keep things running smoothly. Below are suggested guidelines for additional help.

3-4 year olds, 1 helper for every 3-4 kids
5-8 year olds, 1 helper for every 5-6 kids
9-12 year olds, 1 helper for every 8 kids
